ABOUT CARIB AVIATION
Carib Aviation was founded by Mr. Frank Delisle, in 1972 and was subsequently bought by Mr. Bruce Kaufman in 1999.
Today, Carib Aviation operates six aircraft and operates scheduled, contract and charter services throughout the Eastern Caribbean.
Quality and reliability of service to charter and scheduled service passengers alike is viewed as being of paramount importance, ensuring long-term loyalty to the carrier.
Carib Aviation holds an Air Operators Certificate (AOC) granted by the ECCAA (Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority) certifying the Company as a competent body to secure the safe operation of aircraft on flights for the purpose of public transport throughout the region. The Company's management, staffing, training systems and operating procedures have been approved as part of this certification process.
Carib Aviation presently employs 63 personnel, including some 15 pilots and 22 engineering staff. The Company leases office facilities at V.C.Bird International Airport, Antigua, accommodating administration, accounts, operations and traffic departments, and in addition terminal office facilities at Nevis and St. Kitts airports.
Carib Aviation has been privileged to have flown several high ranking members of the British Royal family over the years, the former chairman of British Airways, and numerous other very discerning clients demanding the highest possible standards of professionalism and performance.
Carib Aviation has its own JAR145-certified (DGAC France, Certificate F-07/E) and Maintenance Organisation located at V.C.Bird International Airport, Antigua, where it provides complete maintenance for its own aircraft fleet together with those of a number of other regional operators. Types maintained and for which the Company holds full approval include the Twin Otter, Beech 1900, Jetstream 31, Beech KingAir, Britten-Norman Islander/Trislander, Cessna 400 series, and Partenavia.
Hangars and associated workshop and stores facilities at Antigua’s V.C.Bird are owned by the Company. Hangar area comprises over 11,000 sq. feet, with additional stores and workshops.
Carib Aviation employs a skilled and dedicated team of experienced engineers, supported by a comprehensive technical library and all necessary tooling and equipment, with all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance carried out by Company personnel. |
